I. ARTISTIC (FINE ARTS)

1. THE-AD-MAD-SHOW

Registration fees: Rs. 300/- per team

Rules & Regulations:

  • A team of 3-5 participants is allowed
  • Participants will be given the product on the spot.
  • No restrictions on number of team(s) representing an institute /college.
  • The participating team should bring their own support paraphernalia.
  • Time limit:
  • Preparation time : 05 minutes
  • Act should be of 60 to 90 seconds  (with Jingles & USP)
  • Use of vulgar/obscene language will disqualify the team(s)
  • The judgment criterion: Concept of Ad, adherence to time, Creative aspects (props etc.), Use of appeals, Overall impact.
  • Decision of Judge(s) will be final & binding.

 

2. FACE PAINTING

Registration fee: Rs. 200/- per team

Rules & Regulations:

  • It is a team event. There can be only 2 participants (1artist and 1 volunteer) in a team.
  • Participants should bring their own colors, brushes etc. 
  • Time limit is 60 minutes.
  • Participants will be judged on the basis of creativity, neatness, adherence to theme.
  • Decision of Judge(s) will be final & binding.
  • Theme: Nature – Season of spring

 

                                      

                                3. MEHENDI COMPETITION

Registration fee: Rs. 200/- per team

Rules & Regulations:

  • Participants will bring their own material.
  • Participants have to apply mehendi on the palm as well as dorsall side of the hand (non arabic)
  • Participant can apply mahendi on any volunteer’s hand/ their own hand.
  • It is one round event.
  • Time Limit is 1 hour
  • Criterion for Judgment: Creativity, Neatness, Design appeal, Precision of application
  • Decision of Judge(s) will be final & binding.

4. RANGOLI

Registration fee: Rs. 200/- per team

Rules & Regulations:

  • One group can have a maximum of 3 members.
  • Time allotted- 1 Hour.
  • Participants have to get their own required materials for putting rangoli.
  • No exchange of materials between participants will be entertained.
  • No reference material will be allowed once the competition has begun.
  • Participants who are late will not be given extra time.
  • No stencils/templates will be allowed.
  • Rangoli has to be put only on the allotted space. No extra space should be utilized.
  • Participants can use all kinds of coloured materials to make the rangoli.
  • Participants found to be breaking the rules will be disqualified.
  • Decision of Judge(s) will be final & binding.
  • Theme:-  Festivities

 

                                      II. PHOTO EXHIBITION

  1. Photoत्सव

 Registration Fee : Rs. 50/-  per candidate

Rules & Regulations:

  • The contest is open for online submission only for screening purpose; through the email  iimtphotography.journalism@gmail.com 
  • For online registration you have to attach your photographs on the email Id mentioned above and in subject line mention the theme. Also please state the following details 
  • a) Your Name 
  • b) College Name and Admission No.
  • c) Mobile No. 
  • The contest is open for UG / PG students only. 
  • Photo resolution must be at least 1280x720 pixels and higher resolution. The photos must be in JPEG format.
  • Last date for online entry submission is 08/02/2020. 
  • You have to submit hard copies of your photograph on a photo paper of size 12 X 18 cm (A3 Size) before 11/02/2020 for the display in the gallery. 
  • Photo must carry the caption related to it and printed on it. 
  • Photograph has to be original and should have news sense value and no photo editing is allowed except the Black and White format.  
  • Maximum photograph: Participants can send maximum 5 photos. However, every additional photo sent has to be registered separately.
  • Winning images and overall winners will be selected for their originality and the strength of color combination or picture appeal.
  • Photos that include inappropriate offensive content, violence or environmental violence are strictly prohibited and will be immediately discarded.
  • Judges decision will be final.

III. SPORT EVENT

 

1. CHESS 

Registration Fees: Rs. 100 per player

Rules & Regulations:

  • International rules are to be followed.
  • Time limit – 15 minutes or Completion of game.
  • Based on points, winner will be decided.
  • Knock-out.
  • Team- single player.

2. BADMINTON 

Registration Fees : Rs. 100 per player

Rules & Regulations:

  • International rules are to be followed.
  • Qualifying match -  11 points (single match)
  • Semi-final / final – 11 points (set of 3 matches)

3. CARROM

6. BASKETBALL

Registration Fees: Rs. 600 per team

Rules & Regulations:

  • Each team can have a maximum of 5 players on the court at any one time. Substitutions can be made as many times as they wish within the game.
  • The ball can only be moved by either dribbling (bouncing the ball) or passing the ball. Once a player puts two hands on the ball (not including catching the ball) they cannot then dribble or move with the ball and the ball must be passed or shot.
  • After the ball goes into a team’s half and they win possession back the ball must then make it back over the half way line within 10 seconds. If the ball fails to do so then a foul will be called and the ball will be turned over.
  • Each team has 24 seconds to at least shot at the basket. A shot constitutes either going in the basket or hitting the rim of the basket. If after the shot is taken and the ball fails to go in the basket then the shot clock is restarted for another 24 seconds.
  • The team trying to score a basket is called the offence whilst the team trying to prevent them from scoring is called the defence. The defence must do all they can to stop the offence from scoring by either blocking a shot or preventing a shot from being fired.
  • After each successful basket the ball is then turned over to the opposition.
  • Fouls committed throughout the game will be accumulated and then when reached a certain number will be eventually be awarded as a free throw. A free throw involves one player from the offensive team (the player fouled) to take a shot unopposed from the free throw line. Depending on where the foul was committed will depend on the number free throws a player gets.
  • Violations in basketball include travelling (taking more than one step without bouncing the ball), double dribble (picking the ball up dribbling, stopping then dribbling again with two hands), goaltending (a defensive player interferes with the ball travelling downwards towards the basket) and back court violation (once the ball passes the half way line the offensive team cannot take the ball back over the half way line).

IV. EUPHONY

1. ECHOES - BAND OF WAR 

Registration Fees : Rs.500 per team

Rules & Regulations:

  • Time limit: Max. 30 minutes with sound check.
  • No. of participants: 4-8 members
  • Timely receipt of application and entry fee
  • Uniqueness and appeal of performance
  • Material to be performed is familyfriendly :- (no foul language, inappropriate actions, or attire)
  • Overall dress and presentation
  • Judgment criteria include five categories: Stage- Presence & Showmanship, Professionalism, Song Quality & Originality, and Conformance to Contest Rules & Band Synchronization.
  • Technicians will be on hand to assist each band with possible sound checks. 
  • Bands must report to the stage area at least 30 minutes before their scheduled performance time and remain on-site until the end of their performance. 

2. VOICE OUT – SOLO SINGING

Registration Fees : Rs. 100

Rules & Regulations:

  • Time allotted for each performance is 2 minutes.
  • The participants will be judged on the song selection, voice quality, clarity, rhythm and their appeal to the audience.
  • The participants should bring their own musical instruments if required in the performance.
  • Choice of song is open to the participants but the song should not have any slangs or derogatory language.
  • Judges’ decision will be final.


3. LOOSE UR FEET– SOLO DANCE

Registration Fees : Rs. 100

Rules & Regulations:

  • Bollywood/Hollywood song is to be selected.
  • Time duration- 3 minutes.
  • Participant must carry his/her own dresses, props and other accessories.


4. DAZZLE – GROUP DANCE

Registration Fees : Rs. 300

Rules & Regulations:

  • Song can be selected and it should be decent
  •  Duration of the performance should not exceed 7minutes
  •  Participants should wear proper dress and make up 
  • Each team should comprise of minimum 3 and maximum 8   members
  • Judgment will be based on choreography, rhythms, Taal, synchronization, costume and overall presentation and performance of the students.

V. TECHNICAL

 

1. PROJECT EXHIBITION

Registration Fees : Rs. 500 per team

Rules & Regulations:

  •  Model should be working model.
  • It is not necessary that it has some electric connection or some machines in it but it should demonstrate something.
  • Models can be subjected to any basic science field or any Engineering streams.
  • The maximum team size is 5 members.
  • Each member has to register themselves separately.
  • Each participant shall be given participation certificates.

NOTE: Only Tables & electric connections will be provided by the college to place the model.

2. ROBO RACE

Robo race will be a competition with autonomously driving, electrically powered vehicles. The bots roll onto the racetrack and take up their positions at the start. The bot which covers the arena in minimum time is going to be the winner.

This event comprises of 3 rounds which are all time-based. The arena will be designed with the help of flex and cardboard. Description of all rounds is written below: –

First Round: This round contains a simple path that will contain 2-3 check posts and a well designed route that robot have to cover in minimum time. After this round 50% of total teams will be eliminated by considering the time taken & the points earned.

Finale Round: In this round, all the teams are required to be very perfect to their moves because in the finale round there will be only 4-5 check posts and no. of difficulties will be increased.

Hurdles: Bridges, Speed Breaker, Turning Wheels, Stones, Zig-zag path,See-Saw.

Task:

  • The robots build by given dimensions and specifications will be allowed for game.
  • The robot which gain maximum points will be the winner.
  • Any damage to arena will lead to negative points.

Registration Fees: Rs. 800 per team

Rules & Regulations:

  • The team should not consist of more than 5 members.
  • ID card for each member is mandatory.
  • The robot should follow the robot specifications provided. Any deviation from the mentioned specifications will lead to disqualification.
  • Once the race begins, three hand touches are allowed, if you’re taking hand touch you have to start from the last check point.
  • No test practice will be allowed on the main arena.
  • Only 220V AC supply will be provided in the college.
  • The arena may subject to change before the commencement of any round.
  • If the Robot crosses a checkpoint and moves off track, then the Robot would be placed back on the previous checkpoint crossed.
  • The decision of the judges will be final and abiding. Argument with judges in any form will lead to the disqualification of the team.

Robot specifications:

  • Lego kits are strictly not allowed in any form.
  • The L X B X H should not exceed 25cm X 25cm X 25cm.
  • The net weight should not exceed 3 kgs.
  • However, tolerance of 5% in weight is acceptable.
  • Both wired & wireless robots are allowed.
  • The maximum allowed voltage to power the robot is 12V.

 

3. AUTOCAD 

Registration Fees : Rs. 100 per participant

Rules & Regulations:

  • Limited to one entry per student.
  • Project must be student work.
  • Student must utilize standard CAD equipment.
  • A complete design is required.
  • Time limit is 1 hour.
  • Drawing will be provided on the spot.

4. ROBO LINER

Registration Fees : Rs. 400 per team (5 members) 

Rules & Regulations:

  • The robots build by given dimension and specification will be allowed for game. 
  • The rounds will be decided according to groups participated. 
  • The robot which gains maximum points will be the winner. 
  • The team should not consist of more than 5 members from which one is a leader but not less then 2. 
  • Each member from same college is mandatory. 
  • The robot should follow the robot specifications provided. 
  • Any deviation from the mentioned specifications will lead to disqualification. 
  • Once the race begins, three hand touches are allowed, if your taking hand touch you have to start from last check point. 
  • No test practice will be allowed on the main arena. 
  • Terminals for charging the battery will be provided in the college. 
  • The arena may subject to change before the commencement of any round. 
  • If the Robot crosses a checkpoint, and moves off track, then the Robot would be placed back on the previous checkpoint crossed. 
  • The decision of the judges will be final and abiding. Argument with judges in any form will lead to the disqualification of the team. 
  • Only AC supply will be provided. 
  • The race is 40m long. 

5.CODING

Registration  Fees : Rs. 100 per participant

Rules & Regulations:

  • There will be 2 rounds.
  • Round 1 : MCQ Based (Time Limit – 45 minutes )
  • Round 2 : Programming ( Time Limit – 1 hour )
  • Programmes and web pages will be provided on the spot.
  • A participant can choose between C, C++, Java, Python, WebD.


6. BRIDGE-KRITI

Registration Fees : Rs. 100 per participant

Rules & Regulations:

 

  • Length of bridge should not be less than 30 cm.
  • Only 100 popsicles stick and glue will be provided.
  • Team must contain 3 or 4 participants only.
  • Time duration: 1 hour.

 

7. LATHE OPERATION 

Registration Fees : Rs. 250 per team

Rules & Regulations:

  • Maximum 3-5 members are allowed in a team.
  • Time duration: 1 hour.
  • Only one work piece will be provided


8. NFS

Registration Fees 200/- Per Team and 100/- for single players

Rules & Regulations:

  • Map will be decided on the spot.
  •  4 players will be competing against each other. 


9. PUBG

Registration Fees 200/- Per Team and 100/- for single players

Rules & Regulations:

  • Students can participate in a maximum team of 4 students each.
  • Each Student has to have PUBG game installed in his/ her mobile phone.
  • Rules for the game will be given on the spot.


10. TECHNICAL QUIZ

Registration Fees: Rs. 100/-

Rules and Regulations:

  • First round will be Quiz(MCQ).
  • Top 5 from first round will go for second round.
  • There will be 20 questions in first round and time limit for first round will be 10 minutes.
  • Second round is coding round and time limit for this round is 30 minutes.
  • There will be Two Questions in 30  minutes in second round.
  • Using of internet is prohibited.


11. E-Sports

Registration Fees: Rs. 500/-

Counter Strike 1.6

Rules and Regulations

  • There will be a group of 4 to 5 people.
  • Participants should have to bring your own headphones.
  • Participants should be there on time according to the labs provided.
  • Caught cheating will be direct disqualified.
  • There will be knock out round.

 


12. Webpage Design Competition

Registration Fees: Rs. 100 per team

Rules and Regulations:

  • There will a Single Web Page only (Home Page) design with any language like HTML, PHP etc. based on any theme.
  • Make your Website responsive for multiple browser.
  • The Duration for developed one page is 2 Hrs.
  • No Pen drive or other external devises allowed in computer lab.
  • Use your own code with related pics as per subjects.
  • Your Webpage make Impression and Provide intuitive navigation.
